To be pro gun is to be pro life

I don't know about that.  Certainly an argument, a powerful, non-post-modern argument, a strong non-liberal argument, can be made that pro-gun rights is pro-life.  And certainly being against gun rights and gun ownership or guns in general doesn't make one pro-life either.  Still, here's the argument.  It is good because it reminds us that school shootings and mass killings in the work place are not things that have plagued mankind from the beginning, or even most of the 20th Century.  They're relatively recent historically speaking.  It also reminds me of how my Mom used to keep a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun in her bedroom when Dad was away on the road.  She told us to leave it alone.  And we did.  Because we had been taught what guns are, and what they aren't.  So looking at things like what sort of a society or world we've made might be the better approach to solving the problem, rather than just yelling 'guns! Guns! GUNS!' and ignoring other deaths and crimes because it doesn't advance the agenda.
