'Bout that race. Yep, it's that time of year again, when activists blast the Oscars for being too white. Imagine if someone said the NBA was too black? Can we say double standard class? I would like to know which actors or actresses they think should have been nominated. Could it be that the ones who did best just happened to be white? Is it bad when winners are white? Is this all about the color of people's skin after all? I'm increasingly convinced that as long as we approach race like this, racism will continue. Whether those who run with this sort of thing are unaware of it, or are hoping for that very outcome, is a judgment I defer to other more worthy sources of insight into people's true motives.
