The beheading of John the Baptist

Here, and here.  In contrast to here, where Mark Shea and some of his regulars make it clear that if anything happens to Pope Francis, it will be over the broken, bloody reputation of his accusers.   On the day in which we remember the slaughter of the messenger of God's Incarnate Word, Mark's ministry is a stark reminder of how easily a Christian ministry can become everything the Christian Faith warns against.

  1. The ministry of Mark Shea is to the gospel of Leftism. He long ago left behind any pretense of being a Catholic apologist

    1. Mark is to Catholic apologistics what Fred Phelps was to Protestant apologestics. The difference? In all my years I never knew a single Protestant clergy or layperson who didn't shun Phelps. Compare to the adoration Mark receives from Catholics, by laity and clergy.

  2. Ugh. Whenever you think Mark Shea has finally hit rock bottom, he always finds some way to outdo himself.

    1. In fairness, compare Mark's post to the comments in this and the previous posts. He comes off as charitable and balanced next to the barking mad insanity and hate and evil.
