Speaking of the genocide of tomorrow

This little article highlights the bedrock of future atrocities part of the previously mentioned plunge into historic darkness.  Yet one more hipster of the post-Christian left declares it time to rethink the lessons of the 20th century.  Instead of condemning genocides, eugenics and social Darwinism, the emergent post-Christian Left is starting to think there are some great possibilities there, especially if they go far in aiding us in our hedonism and narcissism.  The first such story I remember broke around 2006, when some medical ethicists in Britain suggested it might be wise to allow parents to euthanize babies born with undetected defects.  Well, that was in the stone ages, and at least two more official reports (one I referenced here), and a growing conversation in our hiptster culture, are getting serious about this whole 'extermination to pave the way for our self focus.'  Gives me chills.  I wonder if we'll wake in time, or if people two hundred years from now will look at us the way we used to look at those Europeans who stood by as the West plunged into the 20th century.
