After days of wrangling with the post-Arizona shooting conundrum, as we've seen the worst humanity had to offer, have celebrated the heroics of the best humanity has to offer, and watched the worst creep back in as humanity slid back down the sin slide to exploit the best and worst for their own selfish gain, things can sometimes be discouraging. And yet, us humans are often capable of spontaneous reminders of that divine spark within us, that part that just automatically kicks in and gives that little cup of cold water simply because we want to help, to do the right thing. No heroics. No storming the beaches. Just helping a little girl avoid embarrassment. Note immediately there is some laughter, but that ends almost at the blink of an eye as the audience quickly turns a potentially hurtful moment into one great lesson on the lighter side of human nature. Well done hockey fans!
Thanks for posting this. That was nice to see. I couldn't tell if she forgot the words or if the microphone quit on her, but certainly it was nice for the fans to step up to the plate and finish it off with her.
