Why we homeschool

 In its simplest explanation:

Yep.  You read that right.  Our schools have every right to crawl into bed with our children and help them obsess about surgically altering their pelvic regions.  Parents, on the other hand, have no such right to even know what their children are thinking about the subject.  That is a privilege that must be earned.  So says the above facilitator guide from Eua Claire, Wisconsin public schools.

I doubt we will be able to stop the advance, but we can delay the influence of the secular heathen storm heading our way.  We can take what time we have and instill in our sons a sense of God, reality, truth, facts and dignity.  It may not work in the long run, but it's the least we can do.  If we had to crawl on our hands and knees across a thousand miles of broken glass to keep our youngest away from the public school system today, we would do it in a fast heartbeat.

  1. Step 1: put the 'facilitators' on a blacklist
Step 2: fire the people who contracted for the facilitators.
Step 3: Close the teachers' colleges. Every last one.
Step 4: Eliminate any provision in state law which prescribes schools hire people with BEd and MEd degrees.

    1. Teacher training should come through apprenticeship, not a college degree.

    2. I'm not sure who would do the firing. That seems to assume what's happening isn't supported by those who could do the firing. Same with the rest. I fear this is a development that those who run the system are fine with seeing happen.

  2. Want another sign? So look at that poll which Don referenced yesterday:

    8. If you were in the same position as Ukrainians are now, do you think that you would stay and fight or leave the country?
First percentage is "stay and fight" the second is "leave the country." (any remainder is don't know)
    People 65+? 52% - 37%
    Ages 50-64? 66% - 28%
    Ages 35-49? 57% - 37%
    Ages 18-34? 45% - 48%

I wish I was more shocked by those results. But given how education is going, I'm not.

    1. I saw that. I was shocked it was that high. As I've said before, my sons in college discovered that around a cool 1/3 of their classmates believe they were born and raised in the nation that inspired Nazi Germany. I would like to have seen a question asking how many Americans would join the invaders. Given what I see among the post-radical left, I could bet the numbers wouldn't be much under those who say they wouldn't fight.

  3. People with kids still in public schools tend to treat things like it is 1995 instead of 2022. The only reason that people are waking up at all is that the preference of lazy teachers for online teaching is finally giving parents a look as to what has been being taught in classrooms for the last two or three decades.

    1. Yes, the 2020 lockdowns had that impact. Parents saw what their kids were being taught. And we had those much ignored by the media cases of teachers and educators saying things like 'keep the parents in the dark.' That's why this is happening, not that you'd know it from the press which is clearly 100% behind the Teachers Unions and School Boards.

As for 1995, I fear many make that mistake. Despite all evidence to the contrary, they think we're dealing with people who are willing to debate because we all want the same thing. They're missing that more and more of the up and coming of the resolution want our faith, our culture, our cyclization and, if need be us, gone. One way or another.
