Thank goodness for the Russians
Where would America's space program be without them? Of course we could always go to the Chinese. It's not easy being in a second rate has-been society, but I think we Americans are beginning to warm up to the idea.
Sorry, I don't see America as the sum total cause of problems in the world, and everyone else just wanting to sit around and chant John Lennon songs all day. I believe America has been, on the whole, a positive in world history. And when it's gone from the top spot, the world will feel it big time. And once we realize it, there's no going back.
Cooperation maybe, but it is more the fact that we can't afford to do anything ourselves any more. That is the worst of it. Because we have spent too much trying to "recover" we have forgotten how to discover.
oh there will be more I am sure. this is just the beginning of the decline.
ReplyDeleteOr you could see this as cooperation, rather than hitting the panic button because America is no longer able to run everything by itself.
