History Channel pulls Kennedy series

Strangely, the History Channel is suddenly worried about accuracy.  It decided that an eight part series on the Kennedy family wasn't worth 'the history brand'.  Now, the History Channel has become the National Enquirer of historical studies.  Most of its shows - those few that have anything to do with history - are just tabloid junk, sensationalistic tale telling, usually shot through with myriad progressive and secular interpretations of events.  Anything of the Christian Western tradition is raked through the mud, icons of liberal and secular thought are, naturally, elevated to near god status.  There was a time when cable shows tried to be accurate (always remembering that history is an art, not a science, and always open to certain levels of interpretation).  They attempted to be as accurate as possible.  In recent years, that is no longer the case.  From flat out inaccuracies to over the top stereotypes and generalizations, I wouldn't waste time on most modern History Channel series if I had to.  Why the sudden concern then?  My guess, because of this little bit in the story:

"The role of producer Joel Surnow, a political conservative, also drew suspicion from fans of the Kennedy Family."
Nowadays, there's bad bias and acceptable bias.  The History Channel, like most cable networks, deals only in acceptable bias.
