Heh

 From the New York Times:

I wonder if folks can see what's wrong with the above Twitter post.  And yes, it matters.

  1. Just reading the headlines of the NYT I can feel myself become actively dumber.

Other statements would hardly be appropriate for your blog.

    1. Yeah. It's like they don't even try to worry about facts. Worse, it's like many who follow them and agree with their agendas don't care either.

  2. Shotgun shell don't really work in AR-15s. Besides the funny gaffe, it's a bit rich that the NYTimes is calling out the Right for making the AR-15 into a talisman. Projection much?

    2. I notice projection is almost a mandate of those on the Left. The ones wanting to give the government power to wreck the lives of millions call those opposed to this fascists. The ones who scream Nazi at anyone who disagrees accuse those who disagree of hate. And things like this. Again, it's tough playing with someone who cheats. No matter how you slice and dice it.

A gun is just a "bad thingy" to these people. They know no more of guns than the old Bugs Bunny cartoonists knew of anvils, safes or real cannon, which is why they sound looney toons to real gun owners. Most seem to have the prohibitionist fixation: let's ban the bad thingy and bad stuff will stop. But a few seem to fear that the people they despise have a way to push back if pushed wrong.

    1. I wonder if it's a gun being bad, or the desire to eliminate the possibility of resistance, as well as establish the precedent of eliminating one Amendment, now we can eliminate the rest.

    1. Heh. I know. A simple Google search would have helped - assuming they even knew what they were looking at.

  5. I want one. You have a greater option on what ammunition you want to use and what is on sale.

    1. Yeah, ideal for home defense a fully automatic shotgun. Would do wonders against squirrels, too.

  6. I saw a video some years ago in which someone had contrived a fully automatic belt fed machine gun using shotgun shells. Pretty nifty and really fills the air with projectiles. No way I could handle the ammo budget.

    1. Something like that would work wonders - in a video game. It makes you wonder just what resources the editor had available when putting this together.
