How terrible is the existence of women

That's certainly the impression you get from the modern Left and its embrace of transgender activism as a main column of attack against the Western Tradition.  Think on it.  Have you ever noticed that almost all terms and phrases that spin around the post-binary gender lexicon seem to tear away at the unique characteristics of women and womanhood?  Non-menstruating people. Non-Birthing bodies.  Non-lactating.  And of course the converse is true for describing those people formerly known as women.  Notice the dearth of terms like non-testicular people or, well, you get the point.

It seems aimed at women far more aggressively than men.  Likewise, I know some feminists have chafed at the whole drag queen culture.  From those I've heard complain, they compare it to a misogynic version of black face.  Men dressed as, and presenting themselves as, a sexist caricature of the worst stereotypes of a woman.

This doesn't include the horrifying things said to such prominent opponents of transgender activism as JK Rowling or Riley Gaines, that never seem aimed at men who oppose transgender activism in the same way.  Have you seen the things written about them?  Woof.  I know it's the age of the Internet and almost anyone can be threatened or attacked online.  But what was stunning was the silence of those on the Left, including the global press that once so adored at least Rowling and her liberal ideals back in the day. There was nothing, or stories about how she was merely receiving pushback over her 'transphobic comments.'

Now it looks like the Global Government has stepped in and smacked down a center Rowling funded that helps women who are victims of rape.  Apparently, this is because she funded an organization to help women through the trauma of rape and sexual assault and similar violence.  The problem with that?  It's for women.  Because it's set up to help women.  Which made Amnesty International initially condemn the organization as 'anti-rights'.  Which is a euphemism for non-leftist.  Rowling being Rowling apparently fired back, and now Amnesty International is walking back the report, insisting it didn't go through proper protocol.

But think on it.  Am I the only one who can't help but think it's women, and overwhelmingly women, who are in the crosshairs of the transgender revolution?  But then, it seems women have been in the crosshairs for quite a while.  After generations of being elevated as THE demographic group that could pretty much demand anything and get it, there has been some qualifying there of late.  Remember when I wrote, here, about that trend a few years ago of saying white women can't be raped.  That is, they can be sexually assaulted, and it's bad let me tell you.  But rape is about power, and no matter where she is under a black man violently raping her, she has the power.  There was a kerfuffle here in the Buckeye State when some local professor shared a post in 2020 saying the same thing about a local case of a young white girl named Reagan Tokes who was kidnapped, raped and murdered.  Though that does seem to have passed its sell-by date.  Nonetheless, you do have to wonder.

Perhaps that's why more women voted for Trump in 2024 than had before.  Much to the chagrin of anti-Trumpers who can't believe they would vote for someone with a reputation with women like Trump.  How?  How could they vote for him when the Democrats are there with open arms?

Then look at all this.  I mean, it's really hard to believe you give two swinging damns or a hell about women when such horrifying attacks are made against them as you say nothing about it.  Or when wanting to focus on the needs and safety of women is attacked for suggesting there is such a thing as women in the first place.

  1. It's an unfortunate reality that women, in general, will always be about as easy to deceive as Eve was. When it comes down to it, women themselves have pushed this insanity, or a loud minority of women anyway. Then a certain percentage of regular women just go along with it to be with the "in" crowd, especially unmarried women. Married women are a bit more realistic, and they were the ones who broke in the majority for Trump.

    1. As a man nowadays, I'd be hesitant to let my observation of the same thing be said out loud. But yes, much of the most frothing at the mouth fanaticism, many of the most bat crazy ideals, and some of the worst anti-(fill in the blank with anything associated with the historical Western Tradition) comes from women, especially white, liberal women.

    2. "It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers-out of unorthodoxy." -1984 by George Orwell

Though there was a book I read long ago, "The Silence of Adam" - which pointed out that in the original language, it is implied that Adam was standing right there with Eve while the serpent was talking to her - and he did nothing.

I say all that, to say women are hardly off the hook in this case. We men fail as well when we don't stand up and protect women from the lies.

    3. Nate, I think one of the indictments on this age has been the unwillingness of men to stand up and just say 'hold your horses people, this goes too far.' Just consider women able to abort a pregnancy without the man having so much of a peep of input, but if she decides to keep the baby, then the man is obliged to pay up. I remember there was pushback against that some years, ago, and how many men who otherwise are critical of feminism came out and trashed those making the case. I saw Bill O'Reilly go after a guy who said that was unjust. Which, like so many things, goes back to that problem with those resisting various progressive agendas. Inevitably we look and see those who should stand firm joining the cause.

  2. Progressives always end up supporting batshit crazy ideas, because all progressive thought is a flight from reality and reality can't be hated enough. The crazier the better, for these people. You can't talk to them using reason and evidence. Reason and evidence are the enemy.. --- G. Poulin

    1. The older I get, the more I appreciate that reality is preparation for God. It Is like He Is.

Which explains a lot about Heaven and Hell - will you accept Reality, or reject it. For those who reject it, we can see even now that there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

    2. I note often it's a reality closest to home that the Left hates. A sort of 'how do we hate ourselves, let us count the ways.' Other realities are just fine. Hence Pope Francis praising the Mongol Empire by name. Saying it was because of the peace that they established IIRC. Which is like praising Mussolini for getting the trains to run on time. Yet there it was, from the same pope who was willing to entertain the idea that the Allies could have stopped the Holocaust by bombing some rail lines, but we didn't because, well, you know why. The Left's hatred of reality burns brighter the closer it gets to home.
