Just the hilarity of the jab 'not-toned down' followed by Ethnic Cleansing! Why can't those sexist fascists stop being so divisive and admit they're racists? Heh.
The number one reason I left liberalism even before I became a Christian was because I started noticing a wide chasm between what they said to others and what they did themselves. As always, hardly the only people in the world to do so. But among the left, especially over the decades, it has become the universal defining characteristic of modern progressivism. Standards for thee, but not for me.
Out of all the towns and cities in the US, you'd think ICE is only operating in just a few cities such as Seattle, Boston, Minneapolis, Chicago etc. That's what we see in the news most of the time. You never hear of ICE operations in other cities and towns, not because they have no presence in those places, but primarily because the state and local authorities understand and abide by federal immigration laws and work hand in hand with ICE and giving ICE a heads up when an illegal immigrant is about to be release after a court hearing, or there are no altercations keeping the agents from doing their jobs.
ReplyDeleteThe caliber of the illegals that have been arrested and deported astounds the senses in all of us: Pedos, murderers, child molesters, traffickers, involved in sex slavery, gang members etc. Yes others immigrants less violent have been caught up in these raids but have entered the country illegally. This administration, from the very beginning, has offered an option to all the illegals to, leave the country voluntarily, receive a stipend of a 1000 thousand dollars for doing so and with the chance of reentering our nation legally and applying for citizenship. If not? Off they go.
The ones on the street protesting are not just the illegals but citizens who actively obstruct the ICE agents trying to do their job. THAT is illegal. That will get you arrested. That is the law. I don't want to hear those pissants telling me they hold the moral high grounds when they refuse to respect law, assault law enforcement officers, accuse the agents of breaking the law while they themselves break the law, some of them in violent ways. The ones getting injured for defending the illegals are demented human beings who think they have the right to break the law in order to keep ICE from enforcing the law, the laws that Congress implemented long before Trump was president. The protest are cover for the fraud and illegal activities these states and cities are pursuing. Trump is the first president to successfully enforce these laws thus threatening the fraud and theft of the taxpayers money by state and city officials and immigrant groups. Dems and liberals have, for a long time now, have been motivated by one thing only. Hatred for Trump. Oh well. We have three more years of Trump deal with it lefties. He may not be perfect but he's the best we've had in decades.
What strikes me about everything you say is how right you are, yet how it is contradictory to the narrative of the media. And yet, it's the media's narrative that everyone - including Church leadership - appears to accept. Suggesting that as much as we like to imagine social media is a great vaccine against media brainwashing ... not so much.
DeleteI haven’t trusted the media since the early eighties. Every time I read the reporting on an incident of which I had first hand knowledge the reporting was in error. Leading me to my somewhat rude comment: “The only good reporter is a dead reporter.”
DeleteOh, and I want to thank the majority of the 340 million people in this country who abide by the law unlike the few thousand the the media conflates as if there are millions of these do-gooders obstructing justice. There aren't and many of the ones that are obstructing are paid. They don't even know why they are there. Follow the money and don't get taken in by Lemon and media lies.
ReplyDeleteAgain, the ability of the media to deconstruct reality is still impressive, even in the social media age. But then, if you are on the Left, that's not a bad thing. Sort of like showing up for a football game and having the officials tell you 'don't worry, we bet on your team, so we'll cheat, lie, or steal to make sure you win.' You'd have to feel at least somewhat comfortable about the upcoming match.

DeleteYou'd think at some point common sense would take over peoples' perception of things, but watching my women friends online, particularly Millennial women...they appear to have zero common sense or none that trumps their emotional thinking anyway. I'm just sitting here watching them thinking, "Y'all have gone in on all the media's hysterical headlines for the past 6 years. At some point, don't any of you just stop and say...hmmm...maybe I should re-evaluate my point of view or maybe even wait for some more facts?" But, no...it's outrage p*&n, IMO, and it's going to keep working until a lot more women start taking command of their own faculties in an actual reasonable fashion. (Sorry...a little salty on this subject, LOL)
ReplyDeleteOne of my sons once said several years ago, that we're seeing a generation that imagined it would finally save the world and set things right - realizing they were never equal to the task. So now it's grab whatever cause - hopefully ones that don't cost in personal sacrifice - to assure themselves that they're the new Greatest Generation. Not having to so much as get your feet wet wading ashore to storm the beaches in the bonus.
