They can tell me all they want that we need more Catholic justices, Catholic presidents etc....It means shit. I'm sorry Dave but I'm sick of these 'Catholics' who do not seem to even try to live their faith in the public sector.
(Tom New Poster) They need to live their faith under the Constitutional order which (sadly) has not ruled that the unborn are subject to the protection of the 14th Amendment. There's far more they could do within that order, especially protecting the rights of churches and private citizens and businesses to steer clear of the Culture of Death. But if they go beyond that order, everything will backfire, because American culture is currently on the side of Death, which is more the responsibility (among Catholics) of our bishops and priests. In the mid-20th century Catholics fiercely contested the eugenics movement in this country and won. If the same effort had gone into opposing abortion, and the divorce and contraceptive mentalities that enable it, who knows? Don't except Caesar to do the job of Christ's vicars.
America has changed and the world has followed. Paganism of a secular sort is all the rage. That which is bad or harmful is generally presented as proper values, and what used to pass as common sense virtues are anathema. That's the problem. We literally call evil good and good evil. And we know how that turns out.

I think many of them thought it would be so easy to climb the nation's ladders and still be faithful Christians. They're finding out a choice will have to be made, and it's a choice they didn't imagine they would have to make in their lifetimes.
I agree David. I've seen things in the last 20 that if you would have told me then what the world would be like today I'd would have advised you to seek a good physician. We have lines that have been drawn in the sand that didn't exist a few years back. There is no straddling the line anymore. We now have to to decide which side of the line we are on and suffer the consequences that follow. If that means persecution then so be it. We need to realize that an untested faith is a weak faith. Pray that our test is not too difficult to bear.
