Good to hear. Apparently the University of Illinois of Urbana-Champaign has decided to stand up to intolerance, bigotry, and the increasing love of censorship by allowing Ken Howell to teach Catholicism. This, of course, after he was initially dismissed due to mentioning his support for Catholic teaching on homosexuality in a course on Catholicism. How well the one student whose email almost caused Professor Howell to be dismissed will handle it, we can only guess. But it's nice to see a stance for educational standards and purity of real debate still alive in our country.
FWIW, I sent an email in protest to Michael Hogan, the president of the school, and received a very polite response that he would look into this. Glad to see he did.
