Whew That was some serious stinkerwhiff. Michigan State didn't just lose to 'Bama, it got obliterated. And not surprising. Most of its wins for the year were last second wins just squeaking by. The trouncing it got was, of course, supposed to be what Ohio State got last year. But in one of the strangest and most inspiring seasonal stories I've ever witnessed, OSU managed the win; even if it spent half of the second half pinned down behind the Alabama five yard line.
But last night was just a miserable performance by a team that shouldn't have been there. After all, take it's victory against OSU this year. Having lost our Offensive Coordinator, it's clear he played a major part in our fortunes last year. The season has bee a disappointment at best, and it's unlikely we would have fared much better against the Tide. But Michigan State beat us during one of the worst games I've ever seen. A game so bad that the play calling was the main story, and that is seldom the case. It was games like that Michigan barely won. And even if Alabama is overrated, IMHO, you still don't go against a smarting, hungry team like that when you have so little to show.
Anyway, it's Alabama and Clemson. We'll see. I don't have much skin in that game. I'll be watching the NFL Draft Bowl today at 1:00. Perhaps the Bucks can redeem a somewhat uninspiring, and lackluster season against the Irish.
