Only in England could a couple try to escape the last
vestiges of marriage by embracing civil unions that were created for homosexual couples. For the record, I though England already allowed for gay marriage. I guess I was wrong. Not that it will matter. Like Mark Shea says, England, like the rest of secularized Europe, is in for a rude
awakening. It imagines its grandchildren will, like the modern generations, revel in
hedonism and narcissism and chant 'God is dead' all day long. Instead, in all
likelihood, they will be saying
Allahu Akbar.
