It's not as if martyrdom by proxy hasn't emerged as a defining characteristic of our time, thanks in large part to the modern Left. So doing the old Ebeneezer Scrooge about work houses and prisons might have found a new hearing in new ways. For them war isn't about 'Me' or 'My' children. It's about those who can't go to college unless they join the service, or who can't find a job with their high school diploma or GED. And it's about the people in the Middle East who are being maimed or killed by endless war. The same thing goes for the death penalty. It's not New Pro-Lifers or their children who live in crime filled neighborhoods where they are exposed to a criminal lifestyle. Likewise it's not they or their kids who can't afford lawyers to either get them an acquittal or at least avoid the death penalty.Responsibly Speculatinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06951729575573864778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6226269873507053740.post-36477585789121725442018-01-31T20:16:43.517-05:002018-01-31T20:16:43.517-05:00Thanks. Greydanus that you can't be authentically pro-life and downplay the carnage and suffering that has been left in the wake of the entire sex, drugs and rock and roll era. They are both attempts to dilute both the pro-life movement and the Catholic faith with "seamless garment" nonsense. In fact, I believe that at one time The New Prolife Movement was actually named Seamless Garment Network.Restore-DC-Catholicismhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17478857915379063106noreply@blogger.com
