I realize there is a time honored tendency to be tougher on the haves than the have-nots. But I disagree with the more liberal interpretation of the Sex and Drugs culture that has pushed the wholesale mass slaughter of generations worth of unborn babies while promoting lifestyles that parallel the causes of AIDS after 30 million have died from the disease and counting. So while I appreciate Pope Francis brutally judging, I also appreciate the fact that it shows how supportive people are of the same judging. I'm not sure, however, I agree with his appraisal of the state of the liberal sins and their consequences and causes. I said he states that he stands on traditional teaching, then sets those teachings aside and says who is he to judge, he wants to talk mercy and love. But when it comes to other things, such as the abuses of Capitalism, refusing to accept the MMGW narrative, having divergent views on how to solve the immigration crisis, then there is no 'who is he to judge, let's talk mercy and love.' It's pretty much wrath of God stuff at that point. And that's fine. Judging as Pope Francis does is fine, and obviously people love it when it happens. That's my point. We can dispense with the whole 'we can't judge' rubbish that has been hoisted on the Faithful by those willing to judge and celebrate judging in turn. The pope who does not judge. ..."Pope Francis. The pope who does not judge. By that, the popular liberal culture means he's taken issues like homosexuality and LGBTQ rights and abortion and set them aside, declared he has no real desire to judge those things or those who indulge in them..." NOT TRUE. Pope Francis has repeatedly stated that on these issues he stands by the traditional teachings of the Church, though he has preached MERCY for those individual human beings who are suffering in those groups. Thus the liberal culture judges Pope Francis' true position on these issues from their own wishful thinking and biased prism. I'm often taken by how Christians have been so beaten down about such things as absolute morals and judging by a movement willing to brutally judge and condemn anyone who does't conform to its absolute morals. It's time we wake up. More people need to speak up ...Love your analysis. More people need to speak up about that insidiously evil misinterpretation of judging. We are obligated to judge behaviors and speak up. It's one of the spiritual works of mercy: admonish the sinner. No one is arguing that we are supposed to judge motivations, just actions and behaviors.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6226269873507053740.post-11940246327758344072016-05-10T20:18:39.194-04:002016-05-10T20:18:39.194-04:00Good analysis.Good analysis.Tito Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12218771096085701665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6226269873507053740.post-78371532060892684172016-05-10T17:53:35.716-04:002016-05-10T17:53:35.716-04:00Heh.
